The Rotary Club of Windsor (California) non-profit, politically non-partisan organization in the State of California that participates in service projects in the Windsor area, as well as internationally in conjunction with Rotary International. The Rotary Club acts in coordination with the Vindsor Rotary Community Foundation, a California 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization.
Examples of service projects include Garden of Scholars at Cali Calmecac School, Green House at Windsor Creek Elementary School, and the Windsor Skate Park. The Rotary Club of Windsor often provides a forum for presentations by experts in various fields such as health, finance, the environment, education and community activities. In addition, the Rotary Club of Windsor from time to time conducts non-partisan political forums for local candidates to discuss issues of interest to all residents of Windsor and the surrounding area.
Another prominent activity of the Rotary Club of Windsor is to conduct fundraisers to raise money for various causes, such as health care for the elderly (which recently has occurred related to COVID-19), facilities and equipment for student and youth, and other purposes of interest to the community in general. Often these activities include the participation of prominent local governmental people, such as the mayor or other local or state supervisors and representatives, and famous personalities. When such people appear with us, it is always without any compensation. Rather they participate to support the for which we are raising funds.
From time to time the Rotary Club advertises on Facebook to generate attendance at fundraisers and such prominent citizens may appear in advertisements. The Rotary Club does not endorse or financially support any candidates or other prominent citizens. Rather these people are participating in support of the Rotary Club and its efforts for the community. Any advertisements are paid for by members or representatives of the Rotary Club, who are reimbursed by the Rotary Club of Windsor (California), and are not paid for by, with or on behalf of Facebook or any other related entities, such as Instagram.
